Job summary

Our client in Plano, TX is seeking an Application Programmer III to join the Production Support team. You will provide production support in a high-volume environment, leveraging Unix/Linux with Bash scripting, SQL, Hadoop, and Spark to analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows.

You will contribute to process automation, data quality, and system improvements while working closely with offshore teams in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments with Bash scripting experience.
• Solid SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on Hadoop experience, including production support and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to Spark development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Strong data/code analysis with focus on data quality and root-cause analysis.
• Java and Python skills are a bonus.
• Experience with Cucumber or similar automated testing tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support in a high-volume environment, troubleshooting issues independently and efficiently.
• Automate and optimize workflows using Bash scripting.
• Analyze data and resolve data-related issues with SQL.
• Support Hadoop environments, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and Spark exposure.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve systems.
