Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Plano, TX, is seeking an Engineer to lead large-scale Hadoop and Big Data initiatives. The role requires extensive hands-on experience with Hadoop, PySpark, and Python, and a track record of delivering end-to-end data projects within an SAFe Agile environment.

The candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and the ability to drive reusable design patterns across data platforms, ensuring high quality data management and rapid

Qualifications

• Must have 14+ years of experience in Hadoop and Big Data projects end to end.
• Extensive hands-on design, development and maintenance of software web applications in Big Data and streaming platforms (Hadoop, PySpark).
• Ability to lead the team and deliver features in a fast-paced SAFe Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and facilitates routines to support delivery of technology solutions, including kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates.
• Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies across multiple technology teams.
• Facilitates dependency and risk management, and impediment removal for defined deliverables.
• Communicates updates to stakeholders and leadership, tracking progress and schedules.
• Ensures execution aligns with deliverable requirements by working with sponsors and stakeholders.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• * Primary Skill: Hadoop, PySpark
• * Secondary: Python
• * Experience: Minimum 14 years
• * Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent working experience.
• * 14+ Years of experience in Handling Hadoop and Bigdata projects end to end.
• * Must have extensive hands on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining software web applications in Big Data and Data Streaming Platforms Hadoop, Pyspark
• * Experience in design and implementing tools and frameworks for reusability and standards.
• * Ability to lead the team and deliver the feature, functionalities in a fast-paced SAFe Agile environment.
• * Experience in handling Hadoop Project end-to-end
• * Experience in working in Agile methodology, Project planning and execution
• * Represent the team in the project meetings
• * Work with the stakeholders to understand the requirements and communicate effectively.
• * Understand and document the core services being introduced or modified through the major projects.
• * Work with internal teams to improve the efficiency and quality of the data.
• * Support metadata onboarding and other data management responsibilities.
• * Be a fast learner and take ownership of new functions to drive them independently and efficiently.
• * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

• * Promotes and facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline. Articulate clear updates and critical path.
• * Gathers and facilitates project updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to deliver, risks/issues and schedule.
• * Ensures that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor and stakeholders.
• * Identify any emerging risks/issues, escalated as needed, and identify critical path to resolve.* Execute appropriate due diligence and financial management routines to deliver against financial commitments.
• * Ensures deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards and maintain evidence and systems for record for changes.
• * Supports resource planning for delivery/execution.
• * Strong MS Excel skills to ensure cost reconciled with other systems of records.
