Position: Hadoop Engineer

Duration: Long term

Location: San Jose, CA

Rate: $120K PA

We are looking for a Hadoop Engineer. Prior working experience in Payments or e-commerce domain will be a plus.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years programming experience primarily in Java and/or Scala.
• A solid foundation in common design patterns, algorithms and data structure.
• Conduct design and code reviews, fix bugs, monitor and resolve production issues.
• Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles.
• Management of Hadoop cluster, with all included services.
• Proficiency with Hadoop, MapReduce, HDFS.
• Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala.
• Experience with building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Spark or Storm.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Aerospike, HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB.
• Good understanding of Agile methodology, software engineering best practice, capable of working in a globally distributed development team.
