Job summary

A community support organization in Pennsylvania is seeking a Habilitation Assistant to assist individuals with personal care and skill development. The role involves direct support in daily activities, engaging individuals in meaningful programs, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Compensation includes $20.17/hour plus benefits for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of related experience preferred.
• Must be approved Medication Administration Personnel (AMAP).
• Valid New York State Driver’s License.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and personal care to individuals.
• Implement individualized program plans and behavior support strategies.
• Engage individuals in classroom activities and community outings.
• Supervise individuals during program activities.
• Drive agency vehicles to transport individuals as needed.
• Document progress on program goals and behavior plans.
• Participate in team meetings and training.
