  • Perform a combination of skilled equipment operation, preventive maintenance and manual labor tasks to maintain Virginia's roadways.   • Emergency Operations : Operate and maintain light, medium, and heavy-duty highway equipment to perform maintenance and construction activities.

  • Emergency Operations: Prepare and operate equipment for snow and ice removal or other types of emergency operations. Clear roadways of snow, ice and debris and provide accident clean-up and traffic control during and after normal working hours.

  • Skill in equipment operation and performing preventive maintenance.
