Job summary

TPD is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead H&H study/design tasks for projects across New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with potential growth into a Project Manager role.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of H&H experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and a P.E. license in NJ or PA, with commitment to obtain the other state license. Proficiency in H&H software and CADD tools is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• P.E. License in New Jersey or Pennsylvania (or both) with plan to obtain the other.
• Ability to lead H&H studies and designs, including signing/sealing modeling runs and reports.
• Experience with H&H software used in NJ/PA (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-18, PondPACK).

Responsibilities

• Lead H&H study/design efforts for various clients.
• Sign and seal H&H modeling runs and reports.
• Collaborate on NJ/PA agency, county, municipal, and private projects.

Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with H&H study/design and applicable software applications. Immediate projects will include H&H studies/designs for agency, county, municipal, institutional, and private clients in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required)
• P.E. License in New Jersey, or Pennsylvania, or both (one state required, and upon hiring, commitment to immediately apply for P.E. License in the other)
• Ability to serve as a task leader for H&H studies and designs, including signing/sealing H&H modeling runs and H&H Reports (required)
• Experience with software commonly used for H&H studies and designs in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, e.g. HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-18, PondPACK or similar, etc.
• Familiarity with CADD Software (MicroStation/OpenRoads, AutoCAD)
• Familiarity with drainage design, stormwater management design, and E&S design (preferred)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (required)
• Valid Driver’s License
