Job description

St. Lukes University Health Network is seeking a Board-Certified Gynecologist to join our Womens Health team in Allentown, PA . This is a non-obstetric role dedicated to comprehensive gynecologic care, including in-office procedures such as colposcopy and endometrial biopsy, as well as advanced minimally invasive surgeries like hysterectomy, myomectomy, ablation, and sling procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and thriving practice within a nationally recognized, growing health system. We are seeking a physician who can step into a well-established gynecology practice with strong referral patterns for robust surgical practice. This role has the potential to evolve into a leadership position, such as Chief of Gynecology or Vice Chair, for candidates interested in advancing gynecologic care at a system level.

The position offers a MondayFriday daytime schedule that balances outpatient visits with surgical time, includes access to blocked OR time, and requires participation in nights and weekend call for practice patients. Our ORs support minimally invasive gynecologic surgery with advanced equipment and efficient workflows for outpatient care. Call is limited to GYN-only coverage , shared among a small, supportive team. MIGS fellowship training or equivalent experience is preferred.

About the Department:

  • St. Lukes Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology consists of over 103 physicians and advanced practitioners spread over 40 practice locations.
  • Fully accredited training programs in OB/GYN, MIGS, and GYN oncology.
  • Robust GYN surgical volumes spanning all sub-specialties (MIGS, UroGYN, REI, Family Planning and GYN Oncology).
  • Dedicated departmental research efforts supported by St. Lukes Research Institute and Department of Research and Innovation.
  • Academic appointments are available to outstanding candidates through our affiliation with the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.
  • Rapidly growing obstetrical program with over 5,300 deliveries per year across 4 birthing facilities.
  • State of the art birthing centers located at St. Lukes Anderson Campus, St. Lukes Allentown Campus, St. Lukes Upper Bucks Campus and St. Lukes Grandview Campus.
  • Repeatedly awarded Best Place to Have a Baby in the Lehigh Valley by the Morning Calls Readers Choice Awards.
  • Full support from a team of Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians to provide care for all OB patients (outpatient care, hospital consults, preconception counseling, genetic counseling, diabetes management, etc.).
  • In house 24/7 support from neonatology at each delivering campus with Level III capabilities available at St. Lukes Anderson and Allentown and Level II capabilities at St. Lukes Upper Bucks.
  • Outpatient support for patients and family members provided through St. Lukes Baby & Me Support Center an innovative facility designed to support patients and their families with support during and after pregnancy (pre-natal classes, lactation support, post-partum behavioral health support, etc.)
  • Embedded Social Worker to support providers in managing complex patient concerns.
  • We are a Ryans Program accredited Residency program and have a strong Family Planning Program
