Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gynecologic Oncologist to join SAMG. The practice supports two da Vinci XI robots, reconstructive options, and a comprehensive cancer care program within a regional health system.

The traditional clinic schedule runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with an on-call rotation shared among SAMG providers. Idaho and Oregon licensure is required, with fellowship training and ABOG certification

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree; successful completion of ACGME or AOA accredited residency.
• ACOG Gynecologic Oncology fellowship training; board certification or eligible within 3 years.
• Licensed in Idaho and Oregon with privileges at SARMC and affiliated hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gynecologic oncology care including open and minimally invasive (laparoscopy/robotic) surgery.
• Utilize two da Vinci XI robotic systems to perform procedures and participate in cancer care services.
• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team within SAMG and the regional health system; engage in outreach across the network.
• Schedule is traditional clinic M-F, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with shared on-call 1:2 and every third weekend first call to APP with physician backup.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gynecologic Oncology physician to join a well-established practice located in Boise, Idaho.

SAMG is a physician led and accountable 650+ provider multi-specialty group seeking a gynecologic oncologist committed to a multi-disciplinary team-based approach to care. With two physicians and one PA, this full-spectrum gynecologic oncology practice is part of a vibrant and growing Women's Health Services Program & Women's Specialty Center.

The ideal candidate will provide high quality, compassionate care in healing the body, mind and spirit. The candidate must be passionate and knowledgeable about women's health issues and possess a strong surgical background including training and/or experience in traditional open and minimally invasive (laparoscopy and robotic surgery) approaches. Based on the campus of SARMC - Boise, this provider will support outreach opportunities in support of our growing Women's Health Specialty Services throughout the regionally integrated health system.

Support for this opportunity includes two da Vinci XI robots; reconstructive surgery; cancer care services; clinical trials, genetic counseling, cancer risk assessments and RN Navigation through treatment process.

The schedule for this opportunity is a traditional clinic work week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and is flexible in coordination with partner and OR. Call is shared equally with other eligible SAMG providers and is 1:2 with every third weekend first call to APP with back-up by physician provider.

Requirements for this opportunity include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree; successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program; successful completion of American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) accredited gynecologic oncology fellowship training program; board certification and subspecialty certification through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) (or obtain such certifications within 3 years of employment); unrestricted full license in Idaho and Oregon to practice medicine across multi-state network; granting of privileges at SARMC - Boise, SAMC-Nampa and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho & Oregon Board of Pharmacy and DEA; training/experience in conventional, open surgical approaches and strong minimally invasive (laparoscopy and robotic surgery) skills.
