Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant for Gynecology Cancer Care in Scarborough, ME. This full-time, day-shift role involves rooming patients, assisting in exams and procedures, and coordinating with RNs and physicians in a team-based oncology setting.

Required education includes a High School diploma or GED with Medical Assisting training and clinical experience; BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of start. Eligible for sign-on bonuses based on experience.

Qualifications

• Education and certifications as required by the posting.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, chaperone and assist in exams and procedures.
• Handle prior authorizations and prescription renewals; assist with phone and MyChart messages.
• Assist with specimen collection, ordering, stocking and maintaining exam rooms.
