Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville is actively seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Gynecologic Surgical Oncology team in a full-time capacity. The role focuses on providing both gynecologic surgical and medical oncology care to women.

Responsibilities

• Patient population: women needing gynecologic surgical and medical oncology services
• Inpatient: APP acts as first assist in the OR. The APP is responsible for: independent rounding on patients in the acute post operative phase who are admitted to the hospital, post-operative wound care and pain management, timely collaboration with consulting physicians, coordinating discharge from the hospital, evaluating new consults.
• OR: Support as surgical first assist, laparoscopic and robotic surgical support when indicated.
• Outpatient: Evaluates new and existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians, as well as multidisciplinary team, completes outpatient documentation in a timely fashion, performs clinic procedures as applicable. Manages the surgical and medical oncology needs of the gyn oncologic patient.
