Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a registered nurse for the Oncology service at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. The role offers Monday–Friday, 5-8 hour day shifts with a hybrid work arrangement, located on the 13th Floor of the Center for Advanced Medicine.

Ideal candidates have oncology experience and an active RN license. The nurse coordinates patient care, provides education to patients and families, and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma/associate degree required.
• 2-5 years nursing experience.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the health care of patient populations across the continuum of care.
• Assess and address patients' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Governs the delivery of safe and appropriate patient care based on evidence-based practice.
• Educates patients and families and serves as a resource to the care team.
• Ensures actions align with department and organizational goals.
