Job summary

The Little Gym is seeking an energetic Assistant Program Director for a part-time role in Rogers, AR. This hands-on position combines teaching children with training instructors, developing staff skills, and maintaining high class standards.

You will lead engaging classes, mentor staff, and ensure safety and cleanliness across the gym. Schedule options include Monday–Thursday evenings and Monday–Friday mornings, with a focus on consistent, high-quality coaching.

Qualifications

• Experience in tumbling or gymnastics.
• Experience teaching children and coaching others.
• Knowledge of safe spotting techniques and equipment use.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Dependable attendance and availability for one of the listed schedules.
• Ability to actively teach, demonstrate skills, spot students, and move gym equipment.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging, age-appropriate classes following The Little Gym curriculum.
• Train and mentor instructors in teaching techniques, tumbling and gymnastics skills, safe spotting, and class management.
• Observe and evaluate instructors, providing constructive feedback and ongoing coaching.
• Create class prep sheets outlining lesson plans, skill progressions, equipment setup, and teaching points.
• Help staff build confidence and improve their ability to teach skills safely and effectively.
• Uphold consistent class quality, including preparation, pacing, instruction, and student engagement.
• Maintain a clean, organized gym and ensure staff complete equipment cleanup and cleaning duties.
• Create a positive, encouraging environment for children, families, and staff.
