The Salvation Army Wisconsin & Upper Michigan Division Kroc Center in Green Bay, WI is seeking a part-time Gymnastics Instructor to teach gymnastics, tumbling, and cheer in a safe, fun environment. You will lead classes and assist with team practices and competitions while developing participants’ confidence and abilities.
The role requires a minimum age of 18, a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, and 2+ years of gymnastics, tumbling or cheer experience.
We are looking for energetic, fun, motivated, and kid-loving people to instruct students in our developmental gymnastics program. As an instructor, you will safely lead participants through engaging classes and assisting with Team practices and competitions while developing participant’s confidence, skills, and abilities.
The gymnastic Instructor is a part time position (up to 18 hours/week) paying $18.00/hour.

The Gymnastics Instructor will instruct gymnastics, tumbling, and/or cheer classes and camps in a safe, positive, educational and fun environment.

Uses a variety of gymnastics equipment including beams, bars, vault, mats, etc. Must be able to assist program participants with proper use of grips and tape as appropriate for programs.
First Aid, CPR and AED Certification. Applicant must posses a valid Wisconsin Driver’s license with clearance to drive from The Salvation Army’s insurance carrier.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, and actively physically engage with participants throughout the duration of the work shift; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must regularly support the partial weight of program participants during spotting and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Working with other team members, the employee may occasionally work with other team members to move heavier equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This job is performed in a busy recreation setting where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The building is climate controlled and most work will be done at normal room temperature, however some work areas may be more humid or of variable temperature based on the activities taking place at the time.
This position will require performance of duties during hours commensurate with the hours of operation at the Kroc Center including some nights and weekends.
The employee may occasionally be required to travel to team competitions at offsite locations; during these competitions, the employee will be exposed to environmental conditions present at the site.
