Job summary

Zifo is seeking a Lab Computing Analyst to deliver technical laboratory services across multiple locations in the Southeast U.S. You will work with customers, their managers and the internal Zifo team to analyze needs and propose effective IT and lab solutions.

The role requires regular presence at client sites and involves supporting instrumentation networks, VM environments, and compliance activities while maintaining documentation and inventories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in computer science, life science or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years of relevant technical experience including Windows technologies, networking, remote computing and backup systems.
• Excellent customer service skills with strong listening and interpretation abilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex instrument and technology issues.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support of customer laboratory environments, typically for computers that are integrated with instrumentation.
• Manage lab computing aspects of installing, retiring and relocating equipment.
• Implement Windows-based security.
• Ensure adherence to client policies through reporting and compliance programs.
• Act as technical contact for field service engineers and external vendors.
• Provide SME support for system validation and change management efforts.
• Document procedures, policies, troubleshooting and best practices.
• Create and maintain a physical inventory of lab equipment and software.

Job description

Location: Southeast U.S. - Multiple locations

This role will require regular presence at client sites in the designated areas

This role is NOT eligible for relocation assistance

The Zifo Lab Computing Analyst provides technical laboratory services, including multivendor instrument, information technology and validation/compliance services when applicable. The individual will provide the consulting skills required to analyze customer needs and gaps to propose solutions for the desired state. He or she will work with business users and managers of customers in conjunction with the internal Zifo support team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support of customer laboratory environments, typically for computers that are integrated with instrumentation
• Manage lab computing aspects of installing new, retirement and relocation of equipment
• Implement Windows based security
• Ensure adherence to client’s corporate policies through periodic reporting and compliance programs
• Act as the technical support contact for field service engineers and external vendors
• Provide technical subject matter expertise for new system validation and change management efforts
• Document procedures, policies, troubleshooting and best practices
• Create and maintain a physical inventory of lab equipment, PC’s, software, and any other information pertinent to the environment if applicable
• Perform system preventative maintenances based on client’s schedule, if applicable
