Job summary

Zifo is seeking a Lab Computing Analyst to deliver technical lab services across client sites in the Southeast U.S. This role involves supporting lab computers integrated with instrumentation, managing equipment life cycles, and enforcing Windows security and client policies.

You will interact with field service engineers and vendors, contribute to system validation and change management, and document procedures, inventories, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in computer science or life sciences, or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years of relevant technical experience (Windows, networking, remote computing, backups).
• Experience with virtual machine support is preferred.
• Experience with scientific instrumentation is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support of customer laboratory environments, typically for computers integrated with instrumentation.
• Manage lab computing aspects of installing, retiring and relocating equipment.
• Implement Windows based security.
• Ensure adherence to client’s corporate policies through reporting and compliance programs.
• Act as technical support contact for field service engineers and external vendors.
• Provide technical SME for system validation and change management efforts.
• Document procedures, policies, troubleshooting and best practices.
• Create and maintain a physical inventory of lab equipment, PCs, software, and related information.
• Perform system preventative maintenances based on client’s schedule.

Job description

Location: Southeast U.S. - Multiple locations

This role will require regular presence at client sites in the designated areas

This role is NOT eligible for relocation assistance

The Zifo Lab Computing Analyst provides technical laboratory services, including multivendor instrument, information technology and validation/compliance services when applicable. The individual will provide the consulting skills required to analyze customer needs and gaps to propose solutions for the desired state. He or she will work with business users and managers of customers in conjunction with the internal Zifo support team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support of customer laboratory environments, typically for computers that are integrated with instrumentation
• Manage lab computing aspects of installing new, retirement and relocation of equipment
• Implement Windows based security
• Ensure adherence to client’s corporate policies through periodic reporting and compliance programs
• Act as the technical support contact for field service engineers and external vendors
• Provide technical subject matter expertise for new system validation and change management efforts
• Document procedures, policies, troubleshooting and best practices
• Create and maintain a physical inventory of lab equipment, PC’s, software, and any other information pertinent to the environment if applicable
• Perform system preventative maintenances based on client’s schedule, if applicable

Required Skills:

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects
• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices as defined by the company and/or customer’s site safety code
