Job summary

Ascendion is seeking an AI Data Engineer to modernize Azure hardware planning, data integration, and AI-driven reporting across enterprise platforms. You will craft scalable data pipelines, implement AI-driven automation, and deliver actionable insights via Power BI dashboards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, and strong BI skills, plus SQL and Python for data processing. This remote role requires PST availability and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• Experience in data engineering, BI, analytics, or workflow automation.
• Proven track record implementing AI solutions to improve workflows or efficiency.
• Hands-on experience building production AI solutions using Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, or Microsoft 365 Copilot.
• Strong Power BI skills: data modeling, dashboards, DAX, Power Query, data refresh, deployment, and RLS.
• Experience with Azure DevOps queries, Analytics/OData, and REST APIs.
• Proficient in Power Automate, SharePoint Online, and advanced Excel.
• Strong SQL and Python for data processing, integration, and automation.
• Excellent communication to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Modernize Azure hardware planning, roadmap management, and reporting via AI-driven solutions.
• Implement AI to improve workflows and operational efficiency across platforms.
• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards to enhance visibility and decision making.
• Create workflows and data integrations across SharePoint, Azure DevOps, Excel, and enterprise databases.
