Job summary

Installed Building Solutions in Farmington, MN is hiring a Gutter Installer to measure, cut, and install gutters, downspouts, and related components on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring proper attachment and correct pitch for drainage.

Candidates should have 1+ years of exterior construction or gutter installation experience, be able to read a tape measure, use hand and power tools, and lift up to 50 lbs; a valid driver’s license is required, with a focus on safety.

Job description

As a Gutter Installer with Installed Building Solutions II you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing gutters, downspouts, and other related components on residential and commercial buildings. You will be responsible for ensuring that gutters are properly attached to the building and pitched correctly for proper water drainage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take accurate measurements of the building's roofline to determine the necessary length and number of gutters needed
• Cut gutters to size using specialized tools, such as a metal saw or guillotine cutter
• Install hangers, brackets, and other support structures to ensure that gutters are securely attached to the building
• Pitch gutters correctly to ensure proper water drainage
• Install downspouts and related components
• Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain a safe and organized work area
• Follow all company policies and procedures

Role Requirements:

• Experience: 1+ years of exterior construction, roofing, or specific gutter installation experience is highly preferred (but we are willing to train the right candidate).
• Skills: Ability to read a tape measure accurately, operate hand and power tools, and work safely with sheet metal.
• Requirements: A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Physicality: Comfortable working at heights, carrying 50+ lbs, and working outdoors year-round.
• Physical demands: A gutter installer performs physical tasks like lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), climbing ladders, and working at heights. The job requires bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Manual dexterity is needed for using hand and power tools to install or repair gutters.
• Attention to detail and clear communication with team members and clients is essential.
• Installers work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, and must follow safety protocols.

Pay: $22.00 - $40.00 per hour
