Job summary

Storm Master Gutters, part of the Installed Building Products family, is hiring a gutter installer in Portsmouth, VA. The role requires measuring rooflines, cutting gutters to size, and installing hangers, brackets, and downspouts. You will pitch gutters, ensure proper drainage, and communicate clearly with customers.

• Experience with gutter installation is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work at heights and on ladders.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Take measurements of roofline to determine gutter length and quantity.
• Cut gutters to size using metal saw or guillotine cutter.
• Install hangers, brackets, and supports for gutters.
• Pitch gutters for proper drainage.
• Install downspouts and related components.
• Communicate with customers professionally.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.

Job description

Pay range: $18.00-$25.00/hr DOE, with OT available!!

Key Responsibilities

• Take accurate measurements of the building's roofline to determine the necessary length and number of gutters needed
• Cut gutters to size using specialized tools, such as a metal saw or guillotine cutter
• Install hangers, brackets, and other support structures to ensure that gutters are securely attached to the building
• Pitch gutters correctly to ensure proper water drainage
• Install downspouts and related components
• Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain a safe and organized work area
• Follow all company policies and procedures

Role Requirements

• Strong knowledge of gutter installation techniques and tools
• Experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to work at heights and on roofs
• Ability to lift heavy materials up to 50 lbs
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Physical Demands

A gutter installer performs physical tasks like lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), climbing ladders, and working at heights.
