Job summary

Tilson Homes is seeking a Quality & Cost Control Specialist for the Gulf Coast area to support field audits, verify materials, review variances, and ensure homes are built to plan and budget. This role blends fieldwork with reporting, collaborating with multiple teams to protect margins and reduce waste.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in homebuilding, strong communication, and proficient use of Microsoft Office. Travel throughout Texas is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in homebuilding or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of blueprints and building materials.
• Clear communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and propose solutions.
• Understanding of building codes and margins.

Responsibilities

• Conduct jobsite audits to verify materials and compliance with plans.
• Review variance reports and identify trends or recurring issues.
• Collaborate with Construction, Cost Management, Drafting, and other teams to resolve root-cause issues.
• Document material usage, waste, shortages, and excess.
• Support cost-control initiatives and quarterly review meetings.
