The interpreter will provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings. Assignments are based in San Francisco and the San Francisco Bay Area and are available on a regular basis, depending on the demand for specific languages and the interpreters qualifications.
Qualifications
Fluency in both Gujarati and English
Strong ability to interpret orally between Gujarati and English in both directions
Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
Skilled in meeting the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders
Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary
Possession of a valid California license
