Job summary

Guitar Center in Tacoma, WA is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to deliver lessons through the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum and help grow the student base. You will cultivate an engaging learning environment that reflects our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

Teach across instruments you are proficient in (e.g., Drums, Guitar, Keyboard), collaborate with the Lessons Lead to schedule headcount, and support customers with exceptional service to foster long-term

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Music, Education, or related field.
• Ability to teach the instrument they are proficient in (Drums, Guitar, Keyboard, etc.).
• Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will be teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
• Increase student count and ensure ongoing growth and engagement.
• Partner with the Lessons Lead to schedule/retain student headcount and provide great customer service.

Job description

Pay Rate: $17.13/hr - $21.65/hr Non-Teaching Rate and up to $28.83/hr Total Teaching Rate depending on background and experience.

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count ensuring each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoys playing music all while nurturing our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

As a Music Teacher, you will impact:

Store Culture & Excellence:

• Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based off the needs of the community
• Teach students utilizing the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum
• Assist with Customer service as needed, helping to build and maintain long term students by creating a great experience
• Additional duties as assigned

Student & Parent Partnership:

• Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships, and embracing the knowledge parents have as their child's Music Teacher
• Communicate with students and/or parents of students on progress of each student
• Share students and/or parents' goals and progress frequently

Requirements:
