School of Rock Holly Springs is seeking a Guitar Instructor to lead performance-based music education at our Holly Springs location. The role focuses on delivering engaging private lessons and group rehearsals while maintaining a dynamic student experience that challenges and inspires progress.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on musical expertise with formal music school training, strong communication with families, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, show-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience teaching and/or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Very strong customer relations skills.
• Resourceful and good problem-solver.
• Works well under pressure.
• Ideal candidate is a working musician who also has formal music school training.
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor.
• Good judgment a must.
• Passion for teaching.

Responsibilities

• Music Instruction: Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows; ensure students learn fundamentals, not just songs; create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
• Customer Connection: Communicate regularly with parents on progress; be visible and accessible in the school; assist in rehearsals and maintenance; adhere to Code of Conduct and safety policies.
• School environment: Engage students across core areas and support overall program execution.
