Job summary

School of Rock Main Line is seeking a Guitar Instructor to lead private lessons and group rehearsals, delivering engaging music education that challenges and inspires students.

You will design thoughtful lesson plans, track student progress, and maintain strong communication with parents while supporting shows and in-school performances. The ideal candidate is a working musician with formal music school training and a passion for teaching.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience teaching and/or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people.
• Strong organizational skills and customer-relations abilities.
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor.
• Passion for teaching.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the quality of music instruction in private lessons and shows.
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
• Communicate progress to parents after lessons.
• Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance in school.
• Adheres to the School of Rock Code of Conduct and safety policies.
