Job summary

FormativGroup is seeking an experienced Guidewire Engage Developer to configure and optimize Guidewire Portal applications, with emphasis on Engage.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement PolicyCenter integrations, develop Jutro-based UI components in React, and ensure performance and usability across environments. Hybrid role with travel to US client sites.

Strong debugging, Splunk log analysis, and portal maintenance skills are required to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Guidewire applications, including PolicyCenter.
• Proven experience with Guidewire portals (Producer Engage/Customer Engage/Service Rep Engage).
• Experience building Jutro-based UI and React components, and Jest tests.
• Experience integrating Guidewire portals with PolicyCenter via Edge APIs.

Guidewire Engage Developer

About the Role

The Guidewire Engage Developer role will configure, customize, and optimize Guidewire Portal applications with a focus on Engage. This person will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement PolicyCenter integrations, ensure seamless interoperability with external systems, and maintain portal configurations that meet performance and usability standards. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with Guidewire applications, strong understanding of PolicyCenter integrations, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, scalable solutions.

This role will configure Engage Portals for commercial and personal lines of business, including Jutro‑based UI development, custom React components, Jest unit tests, and integration with PolicyCenter via Edge APIs. This person will also debug Engage Portal issues, analyze Splunk logs, and resolve functional and UI defects across multiple environments.

• Develop and implement PolicyCenter integrations to support business workflows and system interoperability.
• Configure Engage Portals for commercial and personal lines of business.
• Build and maintain Jutro‑based user interfaces and custom React components.
• Create and maintain Jest unit tests to support quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Integrate Engage Portals with PolicyCenter using Edge APIs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration between Guidewire applications and external systems.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain portal configurations to meet performance and usability standards.
• Debug Engage Portal issues across multiple environments.
• Analyze Splunk logs to identify root causes and support issue resolution.
• Resolve functional and UI defects to improve portal performance, usability, and stability.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with Guidewire applications, including PolicyCenter.
• Proven experience with Guidewire portals, including Producer Engage, Customer Engage, or Service Rep Engage.
• Producer Engage experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of PolicyCenter integrations.
• Experience configuring or customizing Guidewire Engage Portals.
• Experience with Jutro‑based UI development.
• Experience building custom React components.
• Experience with Jest unit testing.
• Experience integrating Guidewire portals with PolicyCenter through Edge APIs.
• Experience debugging portal issues across multiple environments.Experience analyzing Splunk logs.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.
• PolicyCenter configuration experience is a plus.

• This is a hybrid role with travel to U.S. client sites as requested.

The compensation range for this position represents our good faith estimate of the range we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, education, work location, and internal equity.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentive programs, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, etc.

Estimated Compensation Range

$60—$80 USD
