Job summary

School District 197 seeks a Guidance Counselor to support student services at Friendly Hills Middle School. The role follows the Teachers' Master Agreement and district guidelines, with responsibilities outlined by the Principal and existing staff agreements.

The candidate should have a Minnesota Guidance Counselor license (5-8) preferred, experience in equitable practices, collaboration and effective communication with students, staff and parents.

Qualifications

• Minnesota Guidance Counselor license, (5-8) preferred.
• Experience with equitable practices, collaboration and/or co-teaching preferred.
• Teach curriculum of ISD #197 School District.
• Fulfill responsibilities as defined by current teachers' working agreement.
• Ability to effectively teach students from diverse racial and cultural background.
• Fulfill responsibilities as directed by the Principal.
• Maintain good communication and cooperation with staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Guidance counselor duties within the Student Support Services framework as per ISD 197.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support student programs.
• Deliver counseling and guidance curricula in alignment with district policies.
