Job summary

Prairie Meadows in Altoona, IA is seeking a Guest Transportation Attendant to greet guests, deliver vehicles to the arrival area, and keep the valet area organized in a fast-paced outdoor environment. This full-time role pays $15/hour, with tips bringing earnings to about $20–$22/hour.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Class D-chauffeur license within 14 days of hire. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner; provide exemplary customer service.
• Deliver guest vehicles to the Guest Transportation lot and return them upon request in a timely, efficient manner.
• Inspect vehicles and note any prior damage on the back of Guest Transportation tickets.
• Oversee vehicle keys, monitor radio traffic, and keep the parking lot free of clutter and debris.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Greeting and interacting with guests in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner while providing exemplary customer service.
• Delivering guest vehicles to the Guest Transportation lot and returns them upon request in a prompt efficient manner.
• Inspect vehicles and mark the check off list on the back of the Guest Transportation tickets to observe and record prior damage before issuing the claim check to the guest.
• Responsible for overseeing proper placement of vehicle keys, monitoring radio traffic requests, and keeping parking lot and valet section free from clutter and debris.
• Performing other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to drive both standard and automatic transmission vehicles safely and cautiously, follow directions and have excellent customer service skills. Must have a valid driver’s license and must obtain a Class D-chauffeurs license within 14 days of employment. Must have a safe driving record and must be able to meet company insurance requirements. Outdoor environment. Exposed to extreme weather conditions as well as exhaust fumes. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and varied hours. Lifting up to 60 lbs required. Must have the physical capacities to operate a shuttle vehicle as determined by the State of Iowa.
