Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum and school goals using Montessori pedagogy.
• Understands and follows objectives for all lessons, unit projects and effectively communicate these objectives to students.
• Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned.
• Teaches lesson plan as outlined by the absent teacher.
• Demonstrates knowledge and incorporates technology in daily tasks, as required.
• Performs all extra duties for the absent teacher or paraprofessional as required by the school.
• Contributes to the classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct.
• Maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
• Maintains a professional appearance as an example for students.

Requirements
