Job summary

Vassar Brothers Medical Center is seeking a Guest Services Representative on a per diem basis. The role focuses on welcoming visitors, guiding them to destinations, and providing information to families of surgery patients.

This position emphasizes exceptional customer service, a positive first impression of the organization, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Evening/weekend shifts are possible as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months customer service.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets all guests entering lobby with a sincere greeting, exhibiting proper guest relations skills and a positive approachable attitude with every interaction.
• Provides accurate and timely information and directions.
• Proactively assists guests with obtaining a wheelchair, provides general assistance, or accompanies them to their destination as appropriate.
• Takes the initiative to maintain a safe an attractive environment within the facility and immediate property.
• Provides information/support to families of surgery patients.
• Notifies Security of any suspicious person or behavior, accident or circumstances that may cause damage or injury.
• Ensures department logs are up to date and accurate.
• Establishes and maintains efficient working relationships with supervisor, coworkers and the customers.
• Capable of multi-tasking and working in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled.
• Maintain and Model Nuvance Health Values.
• Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education Skills Experience

• Minimum six months customer service.
