Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Guest Service Supervisor to oversee staff, ensure quality store operations, and deliver an exceptional guest experience at our Rhode Island location. The role emphasizes coaching, cash handling, and adherence to safety and policy standards.

In this role you will supervise daily tasks, greet guests, manage POS operations, and coordinate with vendors while ensuring in‑stock merchandise and a clean, safe shopping environment for customers and associates alike.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends or holidays.
• Ability to access all store areas and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees and ensure they perform duties as directed by management.
• Coach employees by giving constructive feedback to improve task performance.
• Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for all.
• Adhere to safety, security, quality and store policies and procedures.
• Operate the POS per corporate standards and manage cash levels.
• Maintain store housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Oversee 24/7 execution of guest service programs and processes.
• Handle cash processes including deposits, lottery, gift cards, and checks as applicable.
• Replenish products to ensure in-stock conditions.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve complaints.
• Check in external and internal vendors as per guidelines.

Our Guest Service Supervisor (GSS) is responsible for accomplishing store objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes directed by management.

Job Description:

• Supervise employees making sure they are performing all the job duties implemented by management.
• Coaching employees by giving them constructive feedback to help perform certain tasks.
• Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for everyone.
• Adhere to the execution of established safety, security, quality and store operations policies, procedures, and practices.
• Operate the point of sale pursuant to corporate standards; maintain proper cash levels (including employees being supervised).
• Ensure all store housekeeping functions are completed (cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash etc.).
• Ensure the 24/7 execution of all guest service programs and processes.
• Responsible for all cash processes which includes deposit preparation, lottery, gift cards, and checks where applicable.
• Always replenishes products to ensure in-stock conditions.
• Address inquiries and complaints from guests.
• Check in external and internal vendors per established guidelines.

Additional Job Description:

• Must be available to work flexible hours that may include day, nights, weekends and or holidays.
• Must be efficient and organized.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for position.
• Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and lift up to 25 lbs. during a shift.
• Work in intermittent temperatures (i.e., cooler, outside, etc.,).
• Must have reliable transportation.
• High School Diploma High school diploma or equivalent

Pay Range:

$18.73 - $21.94

The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
