Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes in McAllen, TX seeks a Guest Service Representative to greet guests, help plan celebrations, and sell our cakes. You are the first brand contact in the bakery and help create a warm, memorable experience for every guest.

Maintain product knowledge, process orders at the POS, upsell accessories, keep the bakery tidy, and follow health and safety rules. Availability Mon-Sat and Sundays is required; not a seasonal role.

Responsibilities

• Suggest additional merchandise to complete celebrations (balloons, candles, cards).
• Process guest orders efficiently using POS and invite guests to join Email Club.
• Maintain bakery presentation and cleanliness; restock display case as needed.
• Assist in cake decoration prep and packaging supplies as needed.

Accountabilities / Duties

• Promptly greets walk-in and phone guests with genuine warmth and helpful enthusiasm to determine interests and needs and follows NbC Sweet Steps of Service to create a superior guest experience.
• Maintains strong product knowledge to educate guests on NbC cake distinction, size and flavor profile options, pricing, special promotions and complementary retail merchandise.
• Suggests additional merchandise, including balloons, candles and cards, to complete unique celebration.
• Processes guest orders efficiently and accurately utilizing point-of-sale system and invites guests to join NbC Email Club to benefit from special promotions and remain connected.
• Upholds a clean and organized bakery presentation, which may include routine sweeping/mopping of the floor, and dusting/cleaning of countertops, windows and other surfaces.
• Replenishes retail merchandise and cake display case to ensure a strong visual presentation.
• Assists the Crafter in preparing cake decorations and packaging supplies as needed.
• Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
• Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.

Requirements

• must be 18 years and older
• must be available Monday- Saturday 9:30am-8:30pm & Sunday 11am-5:30pm, (this is not a seasonal job)
