Overview
To supervise and ensure that every guest receives the fastest and most pleasant checkout experience possible through consistent execution of Lowes Foods’ Guest Service Standards and Policies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Guest Service Standards.
- Ensure that front end standards detailed in the No Noticeable Wait Policy are met at all times.
- Manage guest traffic flow from both the guest side and bagging side of the register, using this as an opportunity to interact with guests and monitor productivity.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager and Guest Service Manager to develop schedules that provide the desired level of service within established labor guides.
- Train cashiers to call additional hosts to the front end as needed and according to the daily call-up list.
- Handle guest and host requests, refunds, overrides, and check approvals promptly and professionally.
- Keep the front end clean, neat, and clutter-free at all times; ensure the parking lot is free of debris and excessive carts.
- Be a positive role model for all front end hosts in speech, manner, dress, hygiene, and integrity.
- Ensure all unused check lanes are blocked off when not in use.
- Monitor and enforce all front end policies related to Asset Protection and Shrink Control.
- Provide training and development to front end hosts to meet performance standards.
- Communicate any problem areas or performance issues to the guest service manager.
- Provide ongoing feedback to front end hosts about their performance to maintain service levels.
- Process guest orders, including performing as a cashier or guest service clerk.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs occasionally and 15 lbs constantly.
- Ability to read and understand information and directions.
- Knowledge of front end operations.
- Ability to supervise, train, and develop staff.
- Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
- Effective communication and guest service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Math skills proficiency.
- Ability to work well with computers.
