Job summary

SpartanNash in Michigan is seeking a friendly store associate to bag groceries, assist guests, and provide carry-out service. You will keep the store clean, stock departments, and follow safety and guest-experience guidelines.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing communication and a courteous attitude.
• Ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Basic reading and counting for checkout and bagging tasks.

Responsibilities

• Use proper bagging supplies and techniques when handling guests' purchases.
• Empty bottle bins, clean bottle machines & bottle return area.
• Collect, return, clean, and organize shopping carts and load groceries into customers’ vehicles.
• Know the location of products carried in the store.
• Able to work independently of others.
• Perform cleaning duties and other assigned work in a timely manner.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
