Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant for the Mayport Navy Lodge on flexible shifts. You will clean guest rooms, public spaces, laundry areas, and storage rooms, using cleaning equipment and following NHG standards to ensure a safe, comfortable stay for guests.

The role involves vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, and restocking amenities, with opportunities to assist with breakfast service and light maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cleans guest rooms and other assigned areas. Uses cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, waxers and polishers. Empties wastebaskets, dusts, waxes and polishes room furniture. Washes walls, partitions, air vents and disinfects surfaces.
• Changes light bulbs and cleans windows and room fixtures; moves furniture to clean under and behind. Cleans bathroom areas including tub, tile, walls, and vanity. Cleans kitchen areas including stoves, ovens, microwaves, and refrigerators.
• Performs laundry operations; maintains storage rooms and reports maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Greets guests, ensures privacy and security, and may assist with breakfast setup and service as needed.
• Requires ability to lift/move items and operate cleaning equipment; may require NHG housekeeping certification within 6 months.
