Job summary

Omni Royal Orleans Hotel is seeking a Housing Housekeeper to keep assigned Associate Housing areas clean and maintained to Omni Hotels & Resorts standards. Responsibilities include cleaning, coordinating linen supplies, and reporting room conditions.

The role requires flexibility in hours, ability to lift 50 lb, stand for long periods, and the option to drive company vehicles. Experience in multi-room housekeeping is a plus; training and mentoring are provided in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping in a multi-room facility is a plus.
• Flexibility in hours based on housing needs.
• Ability to work independently or with a team depending on need.
• Ability to lift 50 lb.
• Able to stand for the majority of the shift.
• Ability to drive company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Clean areas of Homestead owned housing on an as needed basis according to the cleaning schedule.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum corridors, stairways, common area bathrooms and kitchen areas; shampoo carpets when necessary.
• Transport trash and waste from housing.
• Inspect vacant rooms and report condition to Manager.
• Deep clean individual rooms and bathrooms when employees vacate and prepare for new occupants, ensuring the room is set up with furniture and linens.
• Enter deep clean details into Rooms Binder.
• Coordinate linen supplies with the Laundry department.
• Monitor hallways and rooms, replacing light bulbs as necessary and cleaning fixtures.
• Report any room damages to Manager and document in Rooms Binder.
• Deep clean the public areas of all housing facilities on a rotating schedule, including cleaning refrigerators, stoves and cabinets in the common area kitchens.
• Assist tenants of housing as needed.
• Transport tenants on scheduled shopping trips either to Covington or IGA.
• Perform any other reasonable task assigned by management.

Overview

To ensure that assigned Associate Housing areas are kept clean and maintained to meet the expectations of the Omni Hotels and Resorts Standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean areas of Homestead owned housing on an as needed basis according to the cleaning schedule.

This may require moving furniture from one building to another, wiping down walls, baseboards, cleaning blinds and scrubbing showers and toilets. This normally takes 3–4 hours per room depending on condition.
• Enter deep clean details into Rooms Binder.

• Monitor hallways and rooms, replacing light bulbs as necessary and cleaning fixtures.
• Report any room damages to Manager and document in Rooms Binder.
