The 5 Star Co-Host in Rangeley, Maine seeks a Guest Readiness Specialist to ensure every property is clean, stocked, and guest-ready between stays.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect properties against a checklist and quickly identify missing/damaged items.
• Self-directed, dependable and able to work independently without daily supervision.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to successfully complete a background check.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for team communication, scheduling, and photo documentation.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Position Summary

Are you the person who immediately notices when something is out of place?

As our Guest Readiness Specialist, you’ll be our eyes on the ground in Rangeley, making sure every property is clean, stocked, functional, and truly ready to welcome guests.

You’ll inspect homes after cleanings, replenish guest supplies, complete light maintenance and runner tasks, and catch the small details that can make the difference between an average stay and a five-star experience. When something requires more attention, you’ll document it clearly and make sure the right person knows about it.

This is a flexible, independent role for someone who takes pride in doing things right, enjoys being on the move, and can be trusted to manage their day without constant supervision.

This role reports to our Local Operations Manager in Maine.

Key Responsibilities

Perform quality checks after property cleanings, inspecting homes against established standards and documenting findings with photos

Provide cleaners with direct, constructive feedback and elevate recurring quality concerns to the Local Operations Manager

Stock and replenish guest supplies and consumables before check-in

Walk assigned properties between stays to identify issues early, bring in packages, and prepare homes for storms or seasonal changes

Complete runner tasks such as picking up and delivering supplies, running errands, and occasionally moving trash or recycling bins

Handle light maintenance, including replacing batteries, light bulbs, and filters and completing other simple fixes

Document maintenance concerns with photos and promptly flag anything requiring additional attention

Meet vendors, contractors, cleaners, or other service providers on-site when access or a local presence is needed

Communicate promptly with the team through Slack and other work-related apps throughout the day

Required Qualifications

Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance; this position requires regular driving between properties, including on rural and unpaved roads

Live within approximately 15–20 minutes of Rangeley, Maine

Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect properties against a checklist and quickly identify anything that is missing, damaged, or out of place

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors throughout the year, including during snow and cold-weather conditions

Comfortable using a smartphone for team communication, scheduling, and photo documentation

Self-directed, dependable, and comfortable working independently without daily supervision

Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to successfully complete a background check

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or property quality inspection

Experience in short-term rentals, vacation rentals, or property management

Basic handyman or light maintenance skills

Flexibility to provide occasional weekend or same-day coverage

Compensation & Schedule

Hourly Rate: $20-25 per hour

Schedule

This is a flexible, part-time, as-needed position based primarily on the guest turnover calendar.

Most work takes place on weekdays between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with some flexibility in daily timing within that window. Rangeley has two primary peak seasons—summer lake season and winter ski and snowmobile season—so hours will typically increase during those periods, with lighter scheduling between seasons.

Some weekend and same-day availability will be required to support guest turnovers and property needs.
