Job summary

The Kroger location at 1295 W Main St, Cabot, AR 72023 is seeking a friendly cashier to deliver excellent customer service. You will greet customers, process transactions at the checkout, and handle various tender types in accordance with store policies and programs.

Ideal candidates bring basic math skills and prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk, with a focus on accuracy and speed in a high- pace environment. This on-site role supports safety guidelines and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the checkout area.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Adhere to cash handling limits, loss-prevention practices, and company policies.
• Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and comply with safety procedures.
• Assist in managing equipment and support store management as needed.
• Respond to questions about products and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
