Job summary

The Sandbox in Goddard, Kansas is looking for energetic Servers to join our fast-paced, sports- and entertainment-focused team. We prize hospitality, great energy, and a friendly guest experience.

As a Server you will guide guests through our menu, make recommendations, enter orders, and work with kitchen and bar to ensure smooth dining. Previous server experience is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
• Build genuine connections with guests and create memorable experiences.
• Learn and confidently explain menu items, cocktails, beer selections, and daily specials.
• Make food and beverage recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy and presentation.
• Monitor tables throughout the dining experience, anticipating guest needs and providing timely refills and service.
• Process guest payments accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas before, during, and after service.
• Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines and verify identification when required.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, hosts, runners, and fellow team members.
• Assist with opening, side work, and closing duties as assigned.
• Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and a positive team environment.
• Uphold The Sandbox's standards for hospitality, professionalism, and guest satisfaction.
