Job summary

Union New American, located at the Westshore City Center in Tampa, is hiring a Server to join our team. You will provide positive guest interactions, ensuring exceptional dining experiences and attentive service in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.

The role requires 2-3 years’ server experience, strong English communication, teamwork, and a professional understanding of drinks and hospitality. Eligible for growth in a vibrant dining environment in Tampa.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in a Server position at a full-service restaurant.
• Passion for creating memorable moments of hospitality for our guests.
• Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with peers and Guests.
• Able to understand, speak and follow written and verbal instruction in English.
• Excels in a team environment and is viewed as a team player by all Team Members.
• The ability to stay positive and calm under pressure.
• A strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow.
• A professional understanding of classic cookery, wine, beer, and cocktails.
• Previous experience with restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Must be able to obtain food safety and responsible alcohol service certifications
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• The Server is responsible for positive Guest interactions while serving Guests in a professional, friendly and efficient manner.
• The Server plays an integral role in ensuring the Guests have exceptional dining experiences.
• At all times, Servers are expected to be attentive to the Guests' needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.
