Job summary

Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille in Saint Augustine, FL is seeking a friendly part-time server to join our team. You will take orders, input into POS, deliver food and beverages, and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction. The role requires clear English communication, a courteous demeanor, and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is preferred. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prefer a minimum of one year of previous serving experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Courteous, friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods.
• Demonstrating a high level of organization, cleanliness and a sense-of-urgency.
• Flexible schedule - ability to work days, nights, weekends & holidays.

Responsibilities

• Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items.
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.
• Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order.
• Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests.
• Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
• Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to all company specs and quality standards.
• Dedication to becoming a 'seller' and not an 'order taker'.
• Understands the importance of practicing safety and sanitation policies at all times.
