The Brig in Washington D.C. is seeking a courteous and professional Doorman to ensure the safety and security of the restaurant while providing excellent customer service. This part-time role focuses on welcoming guests, checking IDs, and maintaining a safe environment.

Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and prior customer service experience. Shift availability includes Friday and Saturday evenings, with potential for additional hours based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service-related role preferred.
• Working knowledge of local alcohol laws.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety and security protocols.
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Check IDs of incoming guests and assist promptly.
• Ensure safety and security by identifying issues early.
• Report suspicious activity to authorities.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the premises.
