Job summary

CHEF'STORE at US Foods in Oakland is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver a superb customer experience across front end, sales floor, and stocking roles. You’ll support checkout, assist customers, and help maintain organized departments from Meat/Frozen to Produce/Dairy and Dry Goods.

Flexibility is required to work 5:00am–7:00pm Monday through Sunday, with starting pay $20.72 per hour. You may perform vendor events and inventory tasks, ensure FIFO stock rotation, and help keep the store clean,

Qualifications

• Retail customer service experience preferred.
• Experience handling cash and POS systems.
• Ability to stock and rotate merchandise and use basic store equipment (pallet jacks).
• Flexible availability to work Monday–Sunday, 5:00am–7:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and operate the POS for checkout.
• Assist on front end and in Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply areas as needed.
• Replenish stock and rotate products following FIFO; ensure proper labeling and price changes as directed.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and participate in inventory and cycle counts.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance for customers.
