Qualifications

• Fluency in reading, writing and spoken English.
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to think and communicate clearly, organize and prioritize under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of the restaurant’s menu, ingredients and cooking techniques.
• Knowledgeable of basic sanitation and of computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests and managing the waitlist and seating chart.
• Use Open Table to take reservations and seat guests.
• Maintain knowledge of menus and daily specials.
• Coordinate seating rotations and communicate guest preferences to the team.
• Ensure smooth dining room operation and cordial guest service during service.
• Answer dining room calls, take reservations and relay staff messages.
• Handle cash till and follow cash handling policies.
• Maintain workstation cleanliness and ensure host stand coverage.
• Relay guest feedback to management and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist servers and other staff as traffic allows.
