Job summary

Nudy's Cafes is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests, seat them, and help ensure an exceptional dining experience at our Chester County locations. You are a natural people person who can build rapport quickly and maintain an organized, welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff alike.

Hosting shifts are 9 am - 2:30 pm daily. This front-of-house role focuses on greeting, seating, and coordinating with servers to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant hosting or serving experience preferred.
• Friendly and customer-focused personality.
• Clear greetings and farewells to guests, and ability to understand requests.
• Ability to clearly communicate guests’ needs to servers and staff.
• Ability to communicate on the telephone; flexibility to carry trays (10–30 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
• Provide guests with menus.
• Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation.
• Inform guests of current promotions and introduce servers.
• Manage flow of guests and provide accurate wait times when appropriate.
• Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages.
