Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated in Erie, PA, is seeking a Host/Hostess to set the tone for a memorable dining experience. You’ll greet guests, manage seating, and coordinate reservations to ensure smooth service in a busy restaurant.

Responsibilities include welcoming guests, guiding seating, maintaining a positive demeanor, and assisting in the dining room during peak times. A high school diploma is preferred, along with hospitality experience; licensing may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• One year of food or hospitality service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedure manuals, and menus.
• Basic computer skills.
• Candidate must be able to obtain appropriate licensing.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat patrons according to the restaurant layout.
• Take reservations and assist in seating guests in a positive, friendly manner.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and restaurant operations.
• Communicate guest compliments or complaints to management in a timely manner.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
• Assist in the dining room as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
