Job summary

The LINE Hotels in Austin is seeking a dynamic Restaurant Food Runner to ensure guests receive timely, courteous service in a fast-paced dining environment. You will be the first point of contact for guests, supporting servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth service.

As a Food Runner, you will learn our menu, operate the POS system, and coordinate with teammates to deliver meals promptly while upholding the LINE’s standards of hospitality and professionalism.

• One year of related hospitality or service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel.
• Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the company’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness.
• Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest.
• Possess knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically coordinate with team members.
• Ensure that food and beverages are delivered to the table in a timely manner.
• Clear, mark, and take ownership of table maintenance and clean and reset tables.
• Assist with any clean up, set up and break down of the dining room.
• Complete assigned side work.
• Assist coworkers in any task necessary to ensure a great environment for guests and coworkers.
• Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel.
• Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested.
