Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Ketchikan, AK seeks a Custodian/Janitor to maintain cleanliness of the Welcome Center and adjacent facilities. You will perform general cleaning of common areas and assist with light maintenance.

Responsibilities include minor repairs, trash collection, restrooms, and grounds upkeep, while ensuring guests and staff experience a tidy, safe environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
• Ability to keep the area clean and orderly.
• Ability to interact with staff, students, parents, and visitors at school while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the Welcome Center.
• Performs minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes.
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms.
• Performs limited grounds maintenance such as mowing and trimming lawns and hedges.
• Maintains a neat and orderly janitors room; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
• Communicate comfortably with guests and colleagues;
• Deliver a first-class experience to all guests and visitors;
• Trash collection;
• Wash down of docks and facility grounds as needed;
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
