Job summary

Dialog Café WeHo in West Hollywood is seeking a part-time Cashier to join our front-of-house team. You will greet guests, take orders, process payments, and ensure accurate order flow in a fast-paced setting with the option for full-time in the future.

Responsibilities include operating the POS, providing menu guidance, delivering warm guest interactions, and upholding Dialog Café’s standards of cleanliness and professionalism while collaborating with teammates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service or café/restaurant experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate and ABC License required.
• Must understand hospitality and service standards.
• Clear, calm, professional communication.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy with orders and payments.
• Ability to handle money accurately and maintain cash accountability.
• Able to stand for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Follow directions and ask questions when clarification is needed.
• Familiar with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming first impression.
• Take accurate in-person orders and communicate clearly.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, ingredients, modifiers, and 86’d items.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash transactions.
• Provide menu guidance and thoughtful recommendations.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day service and order flow.
• Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and side work.
• Support teammates and other departments to maintain a positive environment.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when needed.
• Contribute to Dialog Café’s community presence.
