Job summary

Dollar Tree in Marion, Virginia is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, stock shelves, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior customer service experience. You must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
