Job summary

AutoCamp Sequoia is hiring a part-time Guest Experience Team Member in California to deliver exceptional service to guests at our Sequoia location. You will greet guests, assist with registrations, handle check-ins/check-outs, and support daily food and beverage service while upholding brand standards.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to serve alcohol (21+)
  • Experience in guest-facing roles preferred
  • Comfort with cloud-based apps and Google Suite recommended
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness expected
  • Hospitality background, especially hotels or resorts, is a plus
  • Food and beverage background is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests in a warm, courteous manner
  • Monitor kitchen cleanliness and food safety adherence
  • Assist in cooking and serving meals and beverages when needed
  • Restock store and back-of-house areas regularly
  • Support guests with registrations and accommodation assignments
  • Assist with check-ins/check-outs per Autocamp policies
  • Collect and distribute guest messages and messages for staff
  • Handle reservations and rate-informed upsell opportunities
  • Resolve guest inquiries and billing discrepancies when possible
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Greet and welcome guests by speaking in a warm, friendly and courteous manner.
  • Monitor the kitchen for cleanliness and adherence to food and drink safety laws.
  • Helping cook and serve meals and beverages when necessary.
  • Regularly restocking the store and back of the house.
  • Support guests with registration and accommodation assignments, helping with special requests when needed and possible.
  • Guide guests with check-ins/check-outs in an efficient and friendly manner, and in accordance to Autocamp's policies.
  • Collect and distribute messages for guests.
  • Pre-register, block and take same day reservations; and when necessary future reservations following hotel rate structures, discounts, and sell strategies.
  • Resolve guest complaints and assists with inquiries that relate to Autocamp's services, events, directions, local attractions, etc.
  • Assist in solving billing discrepancies.
  • Perform cancellations according to procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the supervisor.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES

  • Must be over 21 to pour alcohol.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A passion for the great outdoors and creating delight for guests
  • Previous food and beverage experience preferred
  • Ability and comfort in working with cloud based applications; knowledge of Google Suite products preferred
  • Strong relational skills
  • Thoroughness and an attention to detail
  • Excellent and attentive customer service
  • Hospitality background, preferably in hotels or resorts.
  • Food and beverage background.
