Stormont Vail HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a part-time greeter/patient escort to provide a welcoming experience at the hospital entrance and assist guests with directions, screening, and escort services. The role includes managing valet operations, labeling keys, and maintaining a clean lobby.

Strong emphasis on customer service and patient care, with requirements of a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license. Must be able to drive vehicles and assist guests throughout the medical center.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18 years old at time of hire.
  • Experience in customer service preferred.
  • Experience in patient care preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred; DMV record review may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a resource person at entry and departure, guiding and screening guests.
  • Assist visitors with directions, questions, and department locations.
  • Welcome guests at the designated entrance and provide escort as needed.
  • Safely assist guests to destinations via walking or wheelchair escort.
  • Collect and label keys for guests to ensure proper return.
  • Handle valet operations as needed and ensure vehicle safety.
  • Track keys and follow procedures to prevent loss or theft.
  • Organize and file paperwork regarding guests’ vehicles.
  • Train new volunteers and maintain a clean, welcoming lobby.

A Brief Overview

The position will provide a safe and friendly atmosphere by watching and ensuring safety of all patients and visitors entering assigned facility and screening procedures are followed by visitors and team members. Team Member will present an observant, friendly, helpful first impression to anyone entering and exiting the hospital or health center. Position will watch for safety risks (falls etc.) cleaning spills, screening guests, managing first impression of space.

  • Required Experience in a customer service-related job.

Preferred Licenses and Certifications
  • Drivers License - DMV Current Valid Driver’s License and Clean MVR with 3-year baseline and annual MVR review.
Required What you will do
  • Act as a resource person providing a welcoming experience upon arrival and departure through education, guidance, direction, screening and/or driving, parking and retrieving guest vehicles.
  • Assist visitors and answer telephone inquiries regarding patient room numbers, location of various departments within the medical center.
  • Welcome everyone at the designated entrance.
  • Safely assist guests to their destination via walk or wheelchair escort. This includes safe transport of customer from a car parked at entrance.
  • Collect and accurately label keys belonging to guests to ensure their proper return.
  • Handle Valet operations as needed including Operate vehicles safely and responsibility.
  • Ensuring tracking of keys and process follows guidelines to prevent theft, damage or loss.
  • Organize and file paperwork regarding guests’ vehicles.
  • Train new volunteers.
  • Check for any broken or unsafe wheelchair. Label as broken and take to Facilities Management.
  • Assist in offering and helping to carry guests belongings.
  • Maintain a well-kept lobby.
  • Provide routine sanitation of wheelchairs and other high touch surfaces.
  • Contact Security Department if a guest becomes injured.
  • Ensure all oxygen tanks left at main entrance are properly taken to a nursing floor for storage.
  • Communicate any concerns to Supervisor.
